Mental Health during Examination Period

It's that time of the year it's the mid term examination period.

This is a time where most students experience a lot of academic pressure, everyone or i must say every student want to pull up their best, study everything and grasp every information. Everyone becomes unaware of themselves, their environment and their health. This is the time where students undergo mental instability and they put too much pressure on their brains. They stretch their brains, pressure them and the brain experience information overload. As much as we want to get good marks and we want to study hard let us not forget our mental health, we need to take care our our brains because they are our most valuable asset during this time. Spending the whole night at the LIBRARY does not mean you are grasping every information. our minds needs to rest even during this time because if it does not rest i will fail us and it may lead to negative consequences. Recently my Mentee asked how do i deal with the examination stress, i did not know how to respond because i don't know how i do it i just go by and survive. So because of the fact that during this time most students end up committing suicide and it is not good, i thought it would be good to compile ways to deal with examination stress.


TIPS TO HELP WITH EXAMINATION STRESS

  1. Eat and exercise well

  2. Plan you study routine with realistic goals

  3. Rest or set break time during studying

  4. Study your work in small part which make the whole content

  5. Get enough sleep

  6. Believe in yourself

  7. If you feel like you are struggling talk to someone

  8. Take a quick walk to refresh

  9. Break free from distraction

  10. Remember to breathe
